Where I am suits me just fine. Of course, I'd take a villa in Tuscany in the summers.

Being a domestic goddess.

Romantically? The desire to take care of his partner. Platonically? Same as everyone else, a sense of humor.
4. What is the quality you most like in a woman?
A sense of the ridiculous.

Humor, loyalty, forgiveness.

John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, Jane Austen, Alice Munro.
7. Who are your heroes in real life?
Dolly Parton.

Hypocrisy.

On a blanket under an apple tree in bloom.

ReplyDeletein a well-lit, quiet house with a large porch, fireplaces, and woods large enough to let the dogs outside without having to worry about them, preferable near the lake.

my occupation ~ self-employed artist/ caretaker of the house/ interior decorator/ cook/ animal lover/ poet/ bringer of domestic happinesses.

height.
no, really, a sense of the depths underneath the ordinary. and a great sense of humor.

my grandmother, the actors Imelda Staunton and Helen Mirren, the artists Sarah MccEaneney and Kiki Smith

fear and old sticky habits
