Five Senses Friday
Tasting:
mini cupcakes in celebration of several family birthdays.
Touching:
a cool washcloth against the back of my neck. It's been so hot and dry here I can feel the moisture lift off my skin in an instant.
Hearing:
the blues-y sounds of Chris Smither.
the thunk of moths against the screen door at night.
Seeing:
another almost-whole robin's egg, that lovely blue jumping out against the pavement on our walk.
a chocolate lab puppy romping in tall grass. Why do puppy tails wag differently than those of adult dogs? In any case, it was ridiculous and made me happy.
Smelling:
thirty bulbs of garlic curing in the garden shed.

Lovely! The moths thumping make a quiet evening mental picture. I'm looking forward to experiencing some senses today at the fairground around the corner ~ more corndogs, more ferris wheel, and fireworks later. :)
ReplyDeletei adore that eggshell!
ReplyDeletethanks for playing :)
That eggshell is small!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a real Robin's Egg--so beautiful!
